MyBlock Terms of Use

Version: 1.0 · Last updated: 20 October 2026

Provisional version. This text is under legal review and may change before the app launches.

1. Who we are

MyBlock is an app for meeting new people by playing together in "lobbies" (question matches and discussion tables). The service is provided by Giovanni Laterza ("we"). Questions: [email protected].

2. Who can use MyBlock

3. Rules of conduct

On the app you must not: - insult, harass, threaten or discriminate against other people; - send spam, advertising, chain messages or repeated messages; - post sexually explicit, violent or illegal content, or content that harms minors; - pretend to be someone else or give false information about your profile or age; - share other people's personal data without their consent; - send links, except in private chats with your friends; - get around the app's controls (filters, blocks, suspensions) or create new accounts to do so. In private chats with your friends we apply no filter (you remain responsible for what you write); in other spaces (lobbies, matches, tables, group chats, chats with contacts you met in lobbies) the most serious offensive words are automatically replaced with asterisks.

Illegal activity. You may not use MyBlock for illegal activity, in particular selling, buying or arranging drugs, weapons or other illegal goods or content (including through Community names and descriptions, messages, photos or voice messages). Such content is removed and accounts may be banned. We cooperate with the competent authorities when they ask, within the limits of the law. You can report such content with the reason "Illegal activity".

4. What you write

Your messages, answers, comments and voice messages remain yours. You give us the limited permission to store them and show them to the people they are meant for (other players in the lobby, chats) to run the service. We cannot guarantee that others will not copy them: only write what you are comfortable sharing.

Photos, board and profile. You can send photos in private and group chats (up to 4 per message), post announcements with text and up to 4 photos on your board, and upload an image as your profile banner. Nudity or sexually explicit content, content involving minors, violence, hate, spam or images you have no rights to are not allowed. Nickname, bio, posts and banner are visible to other users (except people you blocked or who blocked you). Before sending, photos are resized and stripped of metadata (such as GPS location) on your device; photos in public spaces (Live Lobbies, Communities, Events, board and banner) go through an automatic safety check (run by an external service, see the Privacy Policy) before other people can see them, and a photo that does not pass it is not sent; photos in private chats, group chats and ephemeral photos are not analysed automatically, but can be reported. The check is not foolproof and can be wrong: you remain responsible for what you send, and you can report any photo, post or banner.

General chat. The General chat is a public chat, the same for all users, with no location: anyone can read it and, with a saved account, write (text and voice messages up to 30 seconds), reply and react. What you write there is public to all users of the app and disappears automatically after 48 hours; the other people can also see who reacted to a message. Do not share personal data. Photos and links are not allowed. If you send many messages in a few seconds, a short waiting time between messages applies. Messages can be reported; a message reported by several different people is hidden for everyone until a moderator decides, and moderators can delete messages and mute a person in this chat for a limited time or permanently. The same rules of conduct as the rest of the app apply.

Communities and ephemeral photos. You can create and join public Communities: anyone can join with one tap. Community content (questions, polls, notices, answers, comments, reactions, covers) is visible to members; the owner and moderators can delete content, remove and ban people. The same rules of conduct as the rest of the app apply. In private chats you can send ephemeral photos ("View once" or "Timed"): they are deleted after being opened, or after 7 days if never opened; the app blocks screenshots and screen recording where technically possible, but cannot prevent someone photographing the screen with another device: do not send anything you would not want kept.

Community chats. Every Community has a free chat, visible to anyone who can see the Community (even without joining); members can write and, unless the owner turned on "Members only", so can people who haven't joined. You can send text, photos and voice messages (up to 2 minutes); links are not allowed. Photos in Communities are possible 24 hours after you sign up and are not blurred: you are responsible for what you send. Messages stay in the history until you, the owner or a moderator delete them, or until you delete your account. You can report any message, photo or voice message.

5. Reports, moderation and suspensions

6. Sampietrini

"Sampietrini" are MyBlock's virtual currency. You can earn them by playing or buy them in packs inside the app.

7. Availability and liability

The service is provided "as is" and may be interrupted or changed. We are not responsible for the behaviour of other users, whom you do not know in person: use common sense, do not share sensitive data and only meet strangers in public places and with care. Liability that cannot be excluded by law remains unaffected.

8. Deleting your account

You can delete your account at any time from Settings → "Delete account". This deletes your profile and related data, as explained in the Privacy Policy.

9. Changes

We may update these Terms. If they change in a significant way we will ask you to accept them again the next time you open the app.

10. Governing law

These Terms are governed by Italian law. Consumers keep the mandatory protections granted by law and the court of their place of residence.

Events, History and content. An event stays visible for 24 hours after it ends or is cancelled; for another 24 hours it is read-only (number of participants and chat) and is then deleted with its files. Matches stay in your History while they are among your last 15, and for one week at most. You can delete your own photos and voice messages at any time; people who joined an event or wrote in its chat can propose a group to the others, who choose whether to join.
